The 25th anniversary of Annunciata senior curia of St Joseph's parish , Benin city in Nigeria was celebrated on the 17th of May, 2009 with enough bump and excitement.
The celebration started with the Legion's opening prayer, this was followed by singing and dancing as led by the Marian choir of St. Joseph. This gave way for introduction of members to the podium after which the chairman gave a welcoming speech.Also, junior legionaries from Holy Trinity parish had the opportunity of showcasing the stuff they are made of with the welcome song. The president of the host council, Bro. Clement Ori, gave a short speech in which he told all present that the council began on the 20th August, 1983 and the council needs our support to purchase a new evangelical bus for the council.
Other things that took center stage at the celebration includes, the recitation of the catena legionis, the cutting of the anniversary cake, comedy, drama, African dance( atilogu and cultural display) the toast and refreshment. the anniversary came to an end with the legion closing prayer and the priest blessing.
After the celebration legionaries could not hide their delight in the way and manner the programme was cordinated and wished the curia , many more years ahead.
